Lahore: The Government of Punjab has given 4 weeks to a committee made by the Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to assess the potential effectiveness of installing ‘smart boards’ at government sector schools.
Punjab CM Punjab chaired a high level meeting to review the use of smart LED boards to educate the aspirants and to train the teachers.

While addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said the use of modern technology in the education zone is a must as it will bring “exceptional” results in the field.
He recalled the Punjab Government started this initiative in Danish Schools 6 years back and aspirants of Southern Punjab were being educated with the help of this technology.
He ordered the organization of a committee which will submit its final recommendations within one month.

British professionals briefed participants regarding the procedures involved in smart board technology. Provincial ministers Rana Mashood Ahmed and Syed Raza Ali Gillani were also present there. The adviser of Chief Minister Dr Umer Saif, Punjab Education Foundation Chairman MPA Engineer Qamarul Islam Raja, the additional chief secretary and sectaries of related departments were also present in the meeting.
