Government College University Faisalabad will remain close till 31st May 2020

The novel coronavirus has disrupted the education system of Pakistan resulting in the closure of education institutes and cancellation of board examination. The government of Pakistan has announced to close all schools, colleges, and universities all over the country. As the coronavirus is spreading rapidly from one person to another, so this step is taken to contain the prevalence of the virus. The Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab, Lahore notified that the Government College University Faisalabad will remain closed up till 31st May 2020.

Implementation of the Preventive Measures

In light of rising concern about the coronavirus pandemic, Government College University Faisalabad will be implementing the measures to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. The safety and the health of the students and staff are one of the top priorities for the university. According to university officials, these holidays will be considered as summer vacations. The staff members of the university will receive regular information through emails. Moreover, the Chairpersons, Deans, Directors, Teaching and non-teaching directorates, Teachers in charge of faculties, institutes, and administrative faculty shall remain available when required. This decision has been made by the approval of Vice-chancellor of the Government College University Faisalabad.

Revised Schedule of the Examination

The Government College University Faisalabad has canceled and postponed all the exams due to the threat of the coronavirus. The revised schedule for the examination will be declared after 1st June 2020. The university officials will announce the date sheet of the examination so that students can prepare before the exams. Students that are going to appear in the annual BA exam can check the BA date sheet GCU Faisalabad after its announcement by the authorities.
