The Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa attended the annual national security workshop held at National Defence University on Monday. The annual event was attended by parliamentarians, armed forces, civilians and bureaucrats. He said that Pakistan is going through hybrid conflict, non-traditional war, religious issues, domestic unrest, ethnic conflicts and social issues which require special and thorough response at national level.

The COAS commented that our country is in state of defiance of non-traditional or special war situation where scrutiny is directed towards undermining on religious conflicts and social issues which require treatment of all encompassing response from national civic, we now have a greater responsibility to ensure that our people, especially youth, stay aware and steadfast against propaganda onslaught being launched through a soft offensive. It is our time to rise and progress and we must grasp the opportunity achieved after countless sacrifices.’

About The National Defence University (NDU)

The National Defence University is military research University funded by Government of Pakistan. The study is offering courses related to research in subjects of military science, geo-strategy and international relations. It was established in 1970 as military college and gained status of a University in 20017. The war course being taught in NDU is specifically designed to concentrate on military strategy, and the broader National Defence strategy. All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest Won By Jinnah Sindh Medical University Karachi

The event held at PAF Academy Asghar Khan ended with conclusion of Jinnah Sindh Medical University Karachi winning the bilingual contest. The event was graced with attendance of respected Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.

The students belonging from 49 premier institutes of Pakistan participated in the contest. Sana Zahra of Jinnah Sindh Medical University Karachi won the first prize in English debates and Abu Huraira from Cadet College Ormara won the First prize in Urdu debates.

The declamation has been taking place for many years, major universities, colleges and institutes of Karachi and KPK province take part in the contest. The participating teams accumulate at the PAF academy for competition. The event is being held every year since 1974.

The organization of such debating contest draws a platform for future speakers and debaters. The healthy competition encourages students to work hard and nourish their capabilities. Debates nurture the linguistic skills of students and bring about fluency in speaking.
