Multan: Bahauddin Zakariya University is inviting the applications from the candidates for PhD scholarships.

According to the details, seventeen (17) PhD scholarships under the project “Faculty Development Program of BZU, Multan” while One hundred (100) PhD scholarships under (Prime Minister’s Directive) are available purely on merit basis.
These scholarships are available for the following fields of study:
o Banking and Finance: 2 (scholarships)
o Business Administration: 3 (scholarships)
o Civil Engineering: 1 (scholarship)
o Computer Science: 2 (scholarships)
o Electrical engineering: 1 (scholarship)
o Fine Arts: 2 (scholarships)
o Mechanical engineering: 1 (scholarship)
o Pharmacy: 2 (scholarships)
o Political Science/International Relations: 1 (scholarship)
o English: 1 (scholarship)
o Commerce: 1 (scholarship)
Total: 17 Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria:
To get these scholarships, interested candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
The candidate must possess MPhil/MS or equivalent degree (18 years of education) for local HEC recognized universities or Master’s degree (16 years of education) from a foreign university in the above mentioned subjects.

The candidate must be a Pakistan resident.
The candidate must not secure less than 50 percent marks in the entire academic career.
Just one second division before the last degree is allowed.
No third division or D grade in the entire academic career.
Maximum age on date of submitting application;
A. 40 years for full time regular faculty members of private and government sector universities or R&D organizations and faculty members of government sector colleges only.
B. 35 years of age for all others.
The candidate must not be availing any other scholarship presently.
The candidates who have applied to the other HEC scholarships programs however have not availed yet can also apply for these scholarships.
The successful applicants will make a bon along with BZU to the effect that he/she will serve the BZU for a minimum period of five years after the completion of his/her PhD degree.
