Peshawar, This time all the top three positions have been clinched by boys in Matric Result 2014 of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar. The detailed result of Matric Part 1 and part 2 is accessible online at the following link.
The result was announced in prize distribution ceremony for position holders on Tuesday. Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Mohammad Atif Khan was invited as chief guest but due to some reason he could not attend the ceremony. So Additional Secretary Education Qaiser Alam Khan joined the event as chief guest, while BISE Chairman Prof Dr Mohammad Shafi Afridi, Controller Musawwir Jan Durrani were also present on the occasion.
According to details, as many as 66,510 students appeared in the examination out of them 54,060 successfully pass the exams by making pass percentage of 81.28.
In Science Group, as many as 41,687 students participated in the examination and 37,677 of them qualified the exam with a pass percentage of 90.38.
In Humanities Group, a total of 24,679 students appeared and 16,379 of them passed the exam with 66.37 pass percentage.
Overall top position clinched by Umar Ghafoor Khan of the semi-government Peshawar Public School and College, Warsak Road, by getting 1045 marks out of 1100. Second and Third position went to Fatima and Hajra Qaisar, of New Islamia Public School Charsadda, by obtaining 1044 and 1041 marks respectively.
In Humanities Group, Frist position went to Muhammad Tayyab of Iqra Huffaz School (Boys) Peshawar by getting 983 marks. The second position has been taken by Mahnoor Javed of Peshawar Model Girls High School-II Dilazak Road with 967 marks. Shakeela of Hamza Government High School Jan Khan Killay, Bara Khyber Agency stood third with 942 marks.
