Girls have been outshining boys in grades and scores in examinations in Pakistan for several years now. Interestingly, despite gaining high marks and being toppers girls are in fewer numbers than boys when it comes to academic breakthroughs and international distinctions. The average passing percentages of girl students are higher than boy’s students in Pakistan and majority of top positions in any annual results at different academic levels are being earned by girls as well. In overall performance, girls do better in results and boy pupils have lesser passing percentages and passing rate and as a matter of fact the merit for admissions in universities and colleges is different for both genders. For boys the merit for admission is flexible and demand lower percentage but for girls the merit is tight and demand higher percentage. So who is the overall winner between boys and girls in numbers race of exams this year? The overview is in the article below:

Concluding Winners in Girls vs Boys Number Race;

At matriculation results 2019, girls seem to be way more successful and high achievers than boys with majority of top positions and high marks. In all aforementioned BISE Board Results of Pakistan in major cities, girls bagged more marks and top position except in Lahore where boys and girls winning average was equivalent. Considering the passing ratio and score average of boys, it is high time teachers and administrative staff at school and colleges pays attention to improve grading average of boys in coming years specifically at matriculation level because matriculation level is the base of later academic levels.  Both genders play vital role in progress and development of a country and bright future, whoever wins or loses, the equilibrium and balance of education quality for both genders should be equivalent.
