AIOU introduces LLB degree course

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad has completed the preliminary work for the beginning of LLB classes from next semester.

According to the press release, the authorities of the University have already approved the programme and presently the university is in in the procedure of finalizing matters related to its faculty and course material.

Vice chancellor of the University while giving the statement of Monday said that an individual room for this reason has been reserved at the main campus of the University (Academic block).

It would be the face to face quality program that is being designed in order to produce the lawyers of high standard.

The room assigned for this reason would have special symbolic Court Room permitting the law apsirants to acquaint themselves along with the actual courts proceeding.

A new lecture series Law and Society has been taking place to arrange the discussion on topics related to LLB and to get the essential feedback. Dr Shahid Siddiqui said that the University’s Central library is being armed along with the essential law books courts cases as well as the other related material.

Firstly this program would be started along with the limited number of aspirants from Rawalpindi and Islamabad zone.

Soon, the university will consult Pakistan Bar Council and the members of legal community to look out for their support and guidance for officially launching the LLB programme in an effective way.

It would also organize the regular visits of the law students to Superior courts for their complete professional development. The well-known lawyers of the country and jurists will be involved in the visiting teaching faculty.

He said that, this program is not predestined to earn money however to improve the academic status of this Mega University.
