98 graduating students of KU showcase their works

Professor Durriya KAzi on Monday said that, the aspirants of the visual studies department of the University of Karachi have represented the Pakistan on the different international forums on the basis of their brilliant aptitude.

While addressing a degree show organized by the aspirants, the head of the department said that the average employment rate of the students was approximately 90% because of their hardworking characters.

She was of the view that arts as well as the design had a direct role to play in constructing the self-confidence of the countries. She moreover said that “Pakistan has a rich cultural heritage. The only way for this nation to survive in the world of production is to focus on design studies as it has been perceived that the graduates of art and design are the most influential people in the world of today, since their products influence millions of people”.

The artworks of the graduating students of the department are on display at the STC Building from 10am to 4pm till December 16. A total of 22 students graduated from the graphic design programme.
