Admission Process
The admission process for a bachelor’s degree begins after a candidate has completed their intermediate. The students have to apply for admission with the required information and previous academic records attached to the application form. The university application forms can be accessed through the online portal of universities as well. After the admission process, the students are required to wait for the merit lists.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for a BS Library and Information Science include intermediate or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
Admission Intake
The students can seek admission either in spring intake or fall intake. The fall intake commences in September whereas the spring intake is in April which may vary in different universities.
Entry Test
The requirements of the admission process are different at every university. There are several different entry tests for admissions in various degree programs:
- NTS- National Testing Service
NTS is an undergraduate-level test to seek admission to a bachelor’s degree in university. NTS tests consist of different sections that cover general information, analytical, and logical portions. There are various NTS-associated universities that consider the test for admission instead of their admission test.
- University Test
Apart from the NTS test, the university conducts its general entry test. It is considered mandatory. The test occurs under the specific department the candidate has applied for. The marks of the entry test are divided into particular portions. These portions include questions from general knowledge to field related.
Merit Lists
The merit list is based on the aggregate of the previous academic records of the candidate. The academic records are divided into different percentages.
Fee Structure
The fee structure is slightly higher in the private sector universities than the public sector universities.
