Many of us are known to the word “Utopea” and it would be new for the many people as well. Today we will let you know the complete and brief introduction of this word. It is a Greek word meaning “Imaginary” or “No where”. Sir Tomis More wrote a book in Latin in 1516.He introduced an imaginary world in that book. In those days, England was center of illiteracy and poverty. There was no sign of prosperity and health. The poor were living without basic needs and were dying in the depressions. There were no hospitals. Similarly there were no charity houses. The bazaars were full of faces and dirty materials. The streets were full of fever and contagious diseases. The rules were strictly being obeyed. The courts felt proud on punishing. The punishment of theft was death and it was incredible that the number of theft was increasing. The rich threw off the tenants. The agricultural land was converted into the pastures so that animals could be grazed. When the soldiers came back after outside battles, they were detained from services. They became victims of laziness and poverty. In fact, at that time England was drowning into ignorance, poverty, and diseases.

At that time, Tomis More created an imaginary world and gave it the name “Utopea”. In Utopea all the wealth was common and Utopea Island was like a family which contained many units. Basic units were part of relatives. There was a ruler upon each three families called as Flexor. There was a greater ruler upon each ten rulers. It means three hundred families were under that greater ruler. There were similar kinds of houses on the both sides. Every house had an orchard. There were few rules in the Utopea. There were no lawyers because according to them law profession was to hide the facts and to do extension in laws. The laws were few and comprehensive. The concept of punishment was for the correction but not for the revenge. The common method of punishment was in the form of labour work. The Utopea was secular and priests were very few, men and women were allowed to examine each other internally before marriage. So that they may come to know unseen defects. Gold was hatred as much as hatred that it was used for the manufacturing of dust bins. There was a standard of dress. Fragrant articles were not allowed. Gambling too was not allowed.

This was the Utopea; an imaginary world of Sir Tomis More as he was tired of poverty and illiteracy and its little bit implementation is seen in USSR (Russia).
