Shahmeer Amir, a Multan-born-Pakistani, has been ranked as the third best hacker in the world and 11th most top-rated hacked in the world by HackerOne (a vulnerability disclosure company in California).
This 21-year-old guy has earned more than $150,000 by reporting bugs to 300+ global companies including Microsoft, LinkedIn, Google, Dropbox, Yahoo, Facebook and Twitter.
Shahmeer Amir shifted to Karachi with his family when he was 13. He completed his primary education from the Rangers Public School, then did his intermediate from Government Degree College in Engineering and then finally did his Bachelors in Electronic Engineering from Usman Institute of Technology. He was a scholarship holder too.
At all times he was fond of using computers. When he was young he used to come across plenty of bugs and at that time he used to solve them by himself with the help of Google. Then, further he started off with this hacking by attending a seminar on cyber security at his own university after which he developed interest in hacking. He named this white hat hacking as ethical hacking.
He has also been invited to DefCon an event by HackerOne, which is the biggest hacking conference ever. He is currently in Lahore, where he is handling his own cyber security startup, named Cyphlon.
The only advice he liked to give to those people who wants to follow his follow steps is to focus on learning first rather than earning. It will help them a lot.
