HSSC or Higher Secondary School Certification is commonly known as Intermediate level in Pakistan. Students can opt for various subject combinations and these combinations define the type of result such as FA, FSc, ICS or ICom. HSSC exams are taken in two parts, Inter part 1 and inter part 2.
For the year 2021, inter part 1 (1st year) exams as well as 2nd year exams were cancelled due to Coronavirus situation. However, the boards committee of chairmen along with the respective education ministry worked together to help student continue their studies despite not been able to conduct the exams. The outcome was creation of a formula-based result system where 1st year students would be promoted automatically to 2nd year and the 2nd year students would get promoted to the next level. However, students would need a result card so they can apply to professional universities and therefore a promotion formula was created. Now, 2nd year students can expect that Multan Board will announce their FA, FSc, ICS or ICom part 2 results in next few weeks based on their performance in last years’ 1st year exams.
