UHS was founded in 2002. It is located in Lahore Pakistan. It was established to offer standardized, excellent health sciences education. In the field of health sciences, UHS provides a selection of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs. Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), and more are included in these programs. In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences UHS administers the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT).
A standardized exam called the MDCAT is required for entrance to medical and dental colleges and Universities. The university administers a range of tests, including professional exams for students studying medicine and dentistry. It guarantees the transparency and integrity of the testing procedure. After the conduction of the MDCAT, the University announces the uhs merit list.

Merit Calculation Formula of UHS:
Depending on the rules and procedures of the particular University, different educational institutions use different merit-based admissions formulas. A variety of criteria, including academic record, results from admission exams, and other considerations, are used to determine merit. Each University has different criteria to calculate the merit. However, we have mentioned here the criteria of UHS merit calculation.
- Matriculation/SSC/Equivalent: 10%
- F.Sc./HSSC Pre-Medical / Equivalent: 40%
- MDCAT: 50%
HOW TO APPLY at UHS?
To apply for admission at UHS, you have to follow the mentioned procedure. The procedure is simple. By following the steps, you can easily apply for admission.
- Step 1: You must have to carefully check the Prospectus for session 2024-24
- Step 2: Visit the Online Admission Portal on the UHS website (www.uhs.edu.pk).
- Step 3: After that, you have to create an account by providing your Name, Father/Guardian Name, Email ID, and Password.
- Step 4: There you have to show your preference for the MBBS and BDS programs. Students can select MBBS or BDS (or both). If you select both MBBS and BDS, you will need to indicate your selection. Choose the program you want to apply for, then the category or categories of seats you want to apply for.
- Step 5: Provide all the personal details on the application form. That information included your name, domicile, contact information, address, nationality, gender, date of birth, etc.
- Step 6: Enter all of your academic details, such as your matric and intermediate marks, year of passing, subjects/study group, etc.
- Step 7: Provide the details about your MDCAT or other admission test marks.
- Step 8: Depending on the seat category, you can choose to enroll in as many colleges as you would like.
- Step 9: Submit the online application form.
- Step 10: Visit the nearest branch of The Bank of Punjab (BOP). You have to go along with fee challan. Submit the fees as mentioned in the website.
