UHS Fee Structure 2026: Exam, Registration and Other Charges

Exam fee: MBBS, BDS, Pharm-D, DPT and BSc are Rs. 8,750. The Modular Integrated System versions of MBBS/BDS are Rs. 15,000.

Registration fee: MBBS/BDS is Rs. 10,000 at public colleges and Rs. 24,000 at private colleges.

Tuition is not set by UHS. Each college charges its own. Private MBBS/BDS tuition is capped by PMDC.

The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, runs the exams and registers students for medical and dental colleges across Punjab. Its fee schedule is short, but it trips people up in two ways. The amounts change depending on programme and on whether your college is public or private. And UHS fees are not the same thing as your college's tuition.
What UHS charges, and what it doesn't
UHS bills for examinations, registration, and services like transcripts and rechecking. Tuition for MBBS and BDS is set by the individual college, public or private. A first-year student therefore pays two separate sets of fees: the college's, and UHS's.

MBBS and BDS tuition: what colleges charge
Public colleges
Public-sector tuition is a small fraction of private fees and varies by college. Use the notified figure on your college's own notice or its ilmkidunya college page. Add the UHS registration fee above.
Private colleges
Private MBBS and BDS tuition is capped nationally. PMDC set the base at Rs. 1.8 million for 2024-25, with a 5% rise to Rs. 1.89 million for 2025-26. Increases are CPI-linked from 2026-27. Colleges that exceed the cap risk penalties, including loss of accreditation.
Some private colleges itemise UHS charges inside their own schedules. Akhtar Saeed's 2024-25 schedule, for example, listed a "UHS share" at 5.5% "or as applicable." Read the fine print on what your tuition includes before you pay.
How to pay UHS fees

Select the fee type: registration, migration, rechecking, transcript, and so on.

Generate the challan and pay through the bank option shown.

For exams, submit your form through the UHS examination portal.

Keep the paid challan until your registration or request shows as processed.
