VICE CHANCELLOR

The Higher Education Department, Government of the Punjab, is seeking highly accomplished, qualified, and motivated professionals for the position of Vice Chancellor at the following public sector university:

Essential Requirements

The Vice Chancellor shall be the principal executive and academic officer of the university, responsible for promoting teaching, research, and publications, as well as ensuring excellent administration and operational efficiency. The ideal applicant should:

Be no more than sixty-five (65) years of age on the last date fixed for submission of applications.

Hold a PhD degree from an HEC-recognized or UNESCO-listed institution.

Have experience in a senior academic, research, or management leadership position.

Possess a distinguished record of research and publications.

Submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer before the interview.

Terms of Appointment & Salary

The Vice Chancellor shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years and will serve at the pleasure of the Chancellor.

The incumbent will be entitled to a salary equivalent to that of a Professor on the Tenure Track System, as approved by the Government.

Certified copies of CV, educational certificates, degrees, and diplomas.

Details of certified teaching and administrative experience, supported by experience certificates issued by the concerned Registrar/Admin Officer/HR Office. (Notification of postings will not be accepted.)

List of HEC-recognized research publications, with certified copies of the first page and index of the recognized journals.

A detailed Curriculum Vitae clearly highlighting all elements of eligibility criteria and personal attributes. It should start with the title of SSC/O Level, grades, and the names of the institutes/colleges/universities attended.

Recent passport size photographs.
