Karakoram International University (KIU), Gilgit-Baltistan

Karakoram International University is a premier public sector institution established in 2002. It serves as a vital hub for higher education and regional development within the high-mountain regions of Pakistan. The University is currently seeking applications from distinguished academicians and scholars of international repute to lead the institution as Vice Chancellor.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this prestigious leadership role, candidates must meet the following thresholds:

  • Academic Qualification: A PhD from an HEC-recognized University or Institution.

  • Professional Experience: * A minimum of 20 years in teaching, research, or administration.

    • At least 5 years of experience as a Full Professor (or equivalent rank in a national/international R&D organization).

  • Leadership Track Record: * Demonstrated success in fund management and high-level administration.

    • Previous experience in leadership roles such as Chairman, Principal, Director, or Dean.
