Situation Vacant

Applications are invited from eligible candidates having domicile of the Province of Sindh for recruitment against the following vacancies in the Office of the Chief Engineer / Project Director, RBOD-II Project, Right Bank Barrage Colony, Jamshoro, Irrigation Department, Government of Sindh.

Candidates must possess the required qualifications and relevant experience mentioned below and should submit their applications within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this advertisement.

1. Stenographer

Basic Pay Scale: BPS-14
Number of Posts: 01

Minimum Qualification & Experience

• Graduate from a recognized university.

• Must possess a Certificate in English Shorthand and Typing from SBTE / STEVTA or any institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education.

• Required typing and shorthand speed:

  • 120 words per minute (WPM) in English shorthand.

  • 35 words per minute (WPM) in English typing.

• Minimum Age: 21 Years

• Maximum Age: 28 Years

2. Data Processing Assistant

Basic Pay Scale: BPS-14

Minimum Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a HEC recognized university or institute,
  OR

• Diploma in Information Technology (IT) from a recognized institute.

• Certificate in MS Office from a recognized institute.

• At least one year of experience as a Data Processing Assistant.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 Years

• Maximum Age: 28 Years

Important Instructions

1. Applicants must have successfully passed the General Screening Test (Graduation Category) conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS) with a minimum of 40% marks. A valid STS certificate is required for appointment to the above posts.

2. Age Calculation:
   The age of the applicant will be calculated from the closing date of application submission in accordance with Rule-7 of the Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 2024.

3. Age Relaxation:
   The upper age limit is relaxable by five (05) years as per the notification issued by the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department bearing No. SO-II (SGA&CD) 5-64/2011 (Part-II) dated 06-03-2025.

4. Quota Policy:
   All quota reservations will be observed according to the laws, rules, and policies of the Government of Sindh.

5. Government Employees:
   Applicants already serving in Government departments must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective department prior to submitting the application and present the original NOC at the time of interview before the Departmental Selection Committee.

6. Recruitment Policy:
   Appointment will be made in accordance with the policy notified by the Government of Sindh dated 23-04-2023 and under the provisions of the Sindh Civil Servants Act, 1973 and its rules (as amended from time to time).

7. Interview:
   Applicants will be required to appear before the Departmental Selection Committee along with original documents for the interview as per the schedule uploaded on the Job Portal.

8. TA/DA:
   No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
