Appointment of Special Prosecutor on Contract Basis

01. Position Title:

Special Prosecutor – Contract-based appointment at Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) North for representing drug/asset cases.

Required:

A dynamic and hardworking advocate is required to fight cases related to narcotics and asset recovery. Advocates meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply.

Position Details

  • Number of Vacancies: 01

  • Posting Location: Special Court CNS (Control of Narcotic Substances), Rawalpindi/Islamabad

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Citizenship:
    The candidate must be a citizen of Pakistan.

  2. Practice Status:
    The candidate must be a practicing advocate at the Special Court CNS Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

    • Preference will be given to candidates with High Court experience.

  3. Experience:
    The candidate must have practical experience in criminal cases in trial and High Courts, especially:

    • Narcotics cases

    • Financial and money laundering crimes

    • Asset recovery cases

  4. Bar Membership:
    The candidate must be a member of the High Court Bar Association and must not have been involved in any criminal case.

  5. Character and Integrity:
    The candidate must be of good moral character, with no record of:

    • Involvement in immoral or ethical crimes

    • Dismissal from government service

    • Bankruptcy or insolvency

Terms and Conditions

  1. Remuneration:

    • A monthly retainer fee will be determined based on qualifications and will be finalized through mutual negotiation.

  2. Nature of Cases:

    • The Special Prosecutor will represent ANF North in CNS Court Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Lahore High Court (Rawalpindi Bench), and Appellate Courts in narcotics/asset recovery cases filed under the following laws:

      • Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997

      • Customs Act, 1977 (related to smuggling)

      • Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010

  3. Conflict of Interest:

    • During the tenure with ANF, the candidate must not act as a defense lawyer for any accused person in narcotics or asset-related cases in any court.

  4. Interview Location:

    • Interviews will be conducted at:
      Regional Directorate ANF North, 50 Aiza Colony, Shaheen Chowk, Industrial Triangle, near Yamaha Chowk, Model Town, Kahuta Road, Islamabad.

    • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

  5. Application Deadline:

    • Applications received after the deadline or incomplete will not be considered.
