ISLAMABAD CAPITAL TERRITORY POLICE

Applications are invited from suitable Pakistani National candidates (Male, Female) to fill the following posts in Islamabad Capital Territory Police (Law & Order), according to the provincial/regional quota as laid down by the Government to ensure transparency and merit.

1. Age Limit

• General / Women / Minorities: 18-25 years.

---

2. Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the following minimum physical requirements:

• Minimum Height:

  • Male: 5 feet 7 inches

  • Female: 5 feet 2 inches

• Chest: 33 x 34 inches (for men only).

• Endurance Test:

  • Male: 1.6 km run in 27 minutes.

  • Female: 1.6 km run in 10 minutes.

3. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a qualification equivalent to or higher than the required standard from a recognized board or university.

4. Mandatory Requirements (Documents Required at Interview)

Candidates shall have to produce the following original certificates/documents at the time of the interview:

1. CNIC issued by NADRA.

2. Academic certificates.

3. Domicile certificate.

4. 12 passport-size photographs with a blue background.

5. Affidavit duly countersigned by the respective Deputy Commissioner in case of applying against the non-Muslims quota.

5. General Instructions

Application Process:

• Applicants should apply only online through the websites www.aptas.pk or www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk within 15 days of the publication of this advertisement.

• Applications submitted by hand, through courier, or any other channel will not be accepted.

• No documents/photos/forms are required to be submitted in physical form until the interview stage.

Application Fee:

• Each applicant will be required to pay a fee of Rs. 2000/- per post applied for, for processing of the application and the requisite tests.

• The fee can be paid through the Link-Bill Service via any Bank/ATM/Internet Banking/Easypaisa/Jazz Cash/UPaisa by using the 24-digit PSID generated on the online application portal.

• Candidates applying for multiple posts will have to pay the fee for each post separately.

• Candidates applying for multiple posts will have to pass the physical test only once.

Important Dates & Conditions:

• The cut-off date for age calculation is the closing date, i.e., 02.05.2026.

• No relaxation in height, chest, or age shall be granted to any candidate.

Affidavit & Legal Compliance:

• Candidates are bound to provide correct information. Provision of false information shall be liable to legal action (forgery/fraud/cheating).

• At the time of submission of the application, candidates must submit an undertaking regarding their involvement in any criminal case(s), whether summoned, acquitted, convicted, or with a pending FIR, as applicable.

• The prescribed format of the affidavit can be downloaded from the websites aptas.pk or www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk.

• Candidates found to have provided false information shall be debarred from applying for police posts in the future, and legal action shall be taken against them.

• The candidate shall also submit an undertaking regarding the correctness of the information.

Special Categories:

• Transgender Persons: Can apply as per their self-perceived gender identity in accordance with the provisions of the Transgender (Protection of Rights) Act.

• Government Employees: Government employees who meet the eligibility criteria will apply through the proper channel.

• Family Claim: Candidates applying for a family claim (being real son/grand-son, real daughter/grand-daughter of a serving/retired police employee) shall have to provide complete documents such as FRC, pension book, retirement order, etc., at the time of the interview.

Selection & Verification Process:

• Verification of character and academic antecedents of selected candidates will be conducted. If found false after employment, the candidate shall be discharged from service, and legal proceedings will be initiated.

• Details of the curriculum vitae are available at the application portal for candidates to review and ensure accuracy.

• Candidates are advised to wear suitable shoes and bring their own bottle of drinking water during the endurance tests.

• Candidates are personally responsible for getting themselves medically checked for endurance tests. They will get themselves medically examined from Government or District Hospital and bring the medical certificate along while coming for the endurance test.

• Only those candidates who qualify in the physical/endurance and computer-based tests will be called for an interview. Passing a test/stage will qualify the candidates for the next stage/test. A candidate failing any stage/test will be disqualified for the next step/stage.

• The Departmental Recruitment Board (DRB) and their staff shall verify the physical standards of candidates at the time of the interview again, if needed. Candidates found to have provided false information will stand disqualified for recruitment in ICT Police. The decision of the DRB shall be final.

• Candidates having higher qualifications will be given preference at the interview stage only.

• At the time of final selection, candidates will have to undergo a complete medical examination. Candidates found suffering from Hepatitis B & C and any other perpetual ailments shall also stand disqualified.

• Selected candidates shall accept the Rules/Regulations governing conduct, discipline, promotion, and other ancillary matters framed by the Government from time to time.

• No TA/DA shall be admissible for written or computer-based tests, physical/endurance tests, skill tests, or interviews.

Communication & Updates:

• Candidates shall be informed about updates through the application portal, SMS, or email.

• Candidates must visit the portal frequently for the latest updates.

• The applicant must provide a mobile number that is not converted to another network to ensure they receive all communications.

Reservation of Rights:

• ICT Police reserves the right to modify or cancel the number of posts, the advertisement, or the recruitment instructions at any stage.
