The Anti Encroachment Tribunal Sindh:

The anti encroachment tasked force is responsible for retrieving illegally occupied governmental land. The bill for anti encroachment was passed in Sindh Assembly in 2010.The current rules and regulations carried out by the AETS are in accordance to this bill. It is an autonomous governmental body. The responsibilities of the department includes:  to lodge F.I.R., inquire into, investigate and prosecute all offenders relating to, encroachments, unauthorized occupation of any public property including an attempt or conspiracy to commit, or an abetment of any such offence or any offence committed under this Act, to retrieve possession from the encroachers and trespassers, to arrange and coordinate training of staff, to  perform any other related functions which may be assigned to it by Government, to use such arms, ammunition and equipments as are supplied to them by Government through the Director General or Director for the purpose of this act.

The team of anti-encroachment is required to wear uniforms and take assistance of police to deliver their task. The anti encroachment department is under power of Governor of Sindh. The rules and regulation of the department are designed under model of SINDH ACT NO: XVIII OF 2010.
