The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has announced a situation vacant for the position of Registrar (PEC-21) at its headquarters in Islamabad. This is a selection and tenure post, and applications are invited from qualified candidates who meet the specified educational, experience, and age criteria.

The ideal candidate must hold a B.Sc. Engineering degree and be registered with the Council as a "Professional Engineer," along with required computer literacy. A minimum of 22 years of experience in BPS-17 or an equivalent grade is required, with at least 05 years in an independent managerial position equivalent to BPS-20. The maximum age limit is 57 years, calculated as per the closing date of the advertisement.

Essential experience includes office management, dealing with government departments, and working in national, multinational, public, or private sector organizations. Candidates must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills and a pleasant, extrovert personality. Preference will be given to those with working experience in national or international professional or regulatory bodies. Exposure to legal processes and procedures is considered an added advantage. The candidate should preferably have training and short courses in Leadership, Time Management, Change Management, Stress Management, and Coaching, along with essential knowledge of the PEC Act and Bye-laws. Additionally, the candidate should possess a high level of strategic vision, exceptional administrative acumen, institutional governance expertise, sound national-level decision-making capability, and demonstrated excellence in senior administrative leadership and management.
