Career Opportunities

The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is seeking qualified professionals to support its mission of promoting national economic growth and inclusive development. Available Positions

1. Executive Credit (AVP/VP)

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (PRM preferred)

  • Region: As assigned

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage a team of credit managers and oversee SME and corporate lending activities.

    • Ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

    • Review credit proposals, evaluate borrower risk, and recommend approvals.

    • Maintain and monitor portfolio quality, supporting senior management in decision-making.

    • Conduct due diligence and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to verify collateral and borrower credibility.

    • Assist in reporting credit performance and portfolio health to senior management.

  • Expertise Required:

    • Strong understanding of corporate and SME banking products.

    • Knowledge of credit appraisal, asset evaluation, and risk assessment.

    • Experience in preparing credit proposals, daily monitoring, and portfolio review.

    • Familiarity with SBP regulations and banking compliance frameworks.

    • Ability to analyze financial statements and recommend actionable improvements.

2. Credit Analyst (DG/AVP)

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze credit proposals and provide recommendations for approval.

    • Support senior credit officers in portfolio monitoring and risk assessment.

    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence of clients.

    • Assist in preparing reports for management on loan performance and potential risks.

  • Expertise Required:

    • Strong knowledge of SME and corporate credit frameworks.

    • Understanding of banking products, financial statements, and credit risk assessment.

    • Ability to support senior management in making data-driven credit decisions.

  • Place of Posting: Main Branches, including Karachi and Lahore
