VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Government of the Punjab, Local Government & Community Development (LG&CD) Department has established a Project Monitoring & Implementation Unit (PMIU-ITBMS) under the IT-Based Monitoring System Project. The objective of the project is to enhance governance and improve service delivery across all local governments in Punjab by digitizing core functions including:

  • Sanitation

  • Solid Waste Management

  • HR Management Information Systems (HRMIS)

  • Financial Management

  • Asset Management

Applications are invited from qualified professionals for the following performance-based contract positions up to June 2027, extendable based on departmental needs and satisfactory performance. The department offers an excellent working environment and growth opportunities.

1 Project Coordinator 2 45 years - Minimum 16 years of education in Finance, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or Computer Sciences from an HEC-recognized local or foreign institution.
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience supporting software project activities.
- Preference will be given to those with experience in client-side support and work related to local governments, especially in budgeting, financial management, accounting, OSR (Own-Source Revenue) collection, public accounts, and municipal asset management.
2 Database Administrator 1 45 years - Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related fields from an HEC-recognized local or foreign institution.
- At least 2 years of experience in MySQL database management and administration.
- Must be well-versed in database functions, optimization, performance tuning, and security.
- Preference for experience with local government data systems.
3 Mobile Application Developer 1 45 years - Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with local government sector experience in finance or data systems.
4 Assistant Program Officer 2 45 years - Minimum 16 years of education in Finance, Business Administration, or Computer Sciences.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Preference for candidates with experience in local government-related work including budgeting, financial management, accounting, OSR collection, public accounts, and municipal asset management.

  • All appointments will be made on a contract basis with a fixed salary package up to June 2027.
