SITUATION VACANT

Applications are invited from eligible candidates under the Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Act 2015 for the following position at Khyber Girls Medical College, Hayatabad, Peshawar. Only candidates holding domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or the Newly Merged Tribal Districts (NMTDs) are eligible to apply.

Recruitment Rules / Required Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized and registered by PM&DC.

  • PM&DC Level-III qualification in the relevant specialty (e.g., FCPS, MS, MD) or other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Standing Recognition Committee (SRC) and registered with PM&DC.

Specialty Requirement:

  • Level-III qualification in Cardiology such as FCPS, MS, or MD.

  • Additionally, the candidate must meet one of the following:

    • Level-IV qualification in Interventional Cardiology, or

    • Two years' experience in Interventional Cardiology from a recognized institute, or

    • Certificate in Interventional Cardiology from a recognized institute/body.

  • Must be a CPSP-recognized Supervisor in the relevant specialty.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the relevant subject.

  • Total experience at Assistant Professor and Associate Professor levels must not be less than eight (08) years.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience as a Professor of Cardiology.

Research Requirements:

  • At least 15 research publications in the relevant subject.

  • Out of these, six (06) publications must be within the last three (03) years.


Terms and Conditions

  1. Application Submission:

    • Submit a completed application form along with a detailed bio-data, and attested copies of academic and experience documents to the Human Resource Department, Khyber Girls Medical College, PDA Building Block-IV, Phase-V, Hayatabad, Peshawar.

    • Applications must be submitted within two (02) weeks of the advertisement's publication.

  2. Application Form & Fee:

    • The application form is available for download at www.kgmc.edu.pk.

    • A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 3000 should be deposited in the Bank of Khyber:

      • Account Title: Salary Account of KGMC Employees

    • Original deposit slip must be attached with the application.

  3. Regulatory Framework:

    • The appointment will be governed under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical & Teaching Institutions Reform (MTI) Act 2015.

  4. Probation Period:

    • Selected candidates will serve a probation period of one (01) year, extendable based on satisfactory performance.

  5. Shortlisting & Selection:

    • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

    • Shortlisting may be based on pre-interview marks or an Entry Test, if a large number of applications are received.

    • Marks from any Entry Test will not carry weightage in final selection.

  6. Application Deadline:

    • Applications must reach the office before the deadline during office hours.

    • If the deadline falls on a public holiday, the next working day will be considered the closing date.

    • Late applications will not be entertained.

  7. Scrutiny & Appeals:

    • The Scrutiny Committee reserves the right to reject incomplete applications.

    • Candidates may appeal rejection to the Competent Authority, whose decision will be final.

  8. Grounds for Disqualification:
    Candidates will be disqualified if they:

    • Are convicted by a court of law.

    • Were previously dismissed from public service.

    • Provide false information or suppress relevant details.

    • Submit forged documents.

    • Tamper with age or academic records.

    • Misbehave during the interview.

    • Seek improper influence in selection.

  9. NOC Requirements:

    • Applicants from private institutions must obtain prior approval/NOC from their HR departments.

    • Government employees must apply through proper channel and submit NOC from their department.

  10. Interview Requirements:

    • Original documents must be produced at the time of the interview.

  11. Travel Allowance:

    • No TA/DA will be admissible for the interview.
