Planning & Development Department (P&DD)

Job Opportunity

The Planning & Development Department (P&DD), Government of Sindh, is responsible for policy planning and development in the province. The department also coordinates foreign aid matters through relevant ministries, processes all development schemes, programs, and proposals, and provides recommendations to the government.

P&DD monitors and evaluates the progress of development projects and maintains liaison with national planning institutions, ministries, departments, and donors.

Vacancies at Centralized Data Repository

The department invites applications from Sindh domicile holders with qualifications from HEC-recognized institutions for the following positions. Appointments will initially be for one (01) year, extendable based on satisfactory performance and organizational needs. Competitive market-based salaries will be offered.

1. Software Developer / IT Engineer

Qualification:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent (minimum 16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized university

  • Minimum 2.5 CGPA or Second Division

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years in enterprise web application development

  • Preference for experience in government or semi-government organizations

Skills Required:

  • C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API

  • Angular, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5

  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Windows programming

  • RESTful APIs, React JS

2. IT & Network Engineer

Qualification:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Systems, or Software Engineering (minimum 16 years education) from an HEC-recognized university

  • Minimum 2.5 CGPA or Second Division

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in government IT infrastructure

Skills Required:

  • In-depth understanding of WAN/LAN networks, long-range networking, firewalls, server virtualization, IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP/TCP

  • Storage management and network security

3. Data Scientist / AI & Machine Learning Engineer

Qualification:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (minimum 16 years education) from an HEC-recognized university

  • Minimum 2.5 CGPA or Second Division

Experience:

  • 2–3 years in machine learning, predictive modeling, AI applications

  • Familiarity with Tableau, SharePoint, Power BI, Python, ML/AI algorithms, LLM

4. Mobile Application Developer

Qualification:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT (minimum 18 years education) from an HEC-recognized university

  • Minimum 2.5 CGPA or Second Division

Experience:

  • 1–2 years in mobile application development (Android and cross-platform)

Skills Required:

  • GraphQL, RESTful API integration, React Native, Flutter
