VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: Member Technical

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Appellate Tribunal
Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Minerals Development Department, Peshawar


Introduction

The Minerals Development Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, invites applications from eligible and experienced candidates for the post of Member Technical in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Appellate Tribunal. The appointment will be made for a period of three (03) years or at the pleasure of the Chief Minister, in accordance with Rule 30(1) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Appellate Tribunal Rules, 2022.


Eligibility Criteria

As per Rule 3A of the aforementioned rules, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

Educational Qualification

Must possess at least a 1st Class Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university.

Professional Experience

Minimum 20 years of experience in the field of mines and minerals.

Domicile Requirement

Must be a bona fide resident and domicile holder of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.


Terms & Conditions

As outlined in Rule 30 of the Tribunal Rules, 2022:

The Member Technical shall serve for a term of three (03) years, subject to the pleasure of the Chief Minister.

Entitled to salary, allowances, and privileges equivalent to BPS-20 civil servant.

May resign by giving one month's notice or by paying one month’s salary in lieu of notice.


Procedure for Appointment

According to Rule 3C of the Tribunal Rules, 2022:

Applications must be submitted to the Secretary, Minerals Development Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Applications will be examined and shortlisted by the Department.

Shortlisted candidates will be referred to the Scrutiny Committee (formed under Rule 38).

The Scrutiny Committee will interview candidates and recommend a panel of three (03) candidates to the Appointing Authority.


General Instructions

Required Documents
Applications must include the following:

Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Attested copies of academic and professional documents (verified by issuing institutions)

Reference letter from the last reporting officer/supervisor

Experience certificates (attested by the concerned organization)

Copy of CNIC and domicile certificate

Two (02) recent passport-sized photographs affixed to the application

Affidavit stating:

No criminal/disciplinary proceedings pending

No conviction by any court during or after service

Submission Deadline

Applications must reach the office of the Secretary, within 15 days from the date of advertisement publication.

Incomplete/Late Applications

Applications received after the due date, or incomplete in any respect, will not be considered.

Verification of Claims

Qualifications and experience claimed without documentary proof will not be accepted.

False or misleading information will be treated as “Concealment of Facts”, resulting in disqualification and potential penal action.

Age Limit

The upper age limit shall be governed as per the Government policy vide No.SORIII (S&GAD) 9-6/90(KC), dated 30.01.2001.

Interview & TA/DA

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

No TA/DA will be admissible.
