Finance Division, Government of Pakistan Vacancy Announcement

Position: Member, Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP)

Organization Overview:
The Finance Division, Government of Pakistan invites applications from highly qualified and experienced professionals of integrity and eminence for the position of Member at the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP). This role involves regulatory oversight, policy guidance, and enforcement of competition laws in the country.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree (minimum 16 years of education) from a recognized institution.

  • Professional Experience: At least 20 years in accountancy, commerce, economics, finance, or law.

  • Age Limit: Maximum 62 years at the time of application.

  • Shortlisting will consider additional qualifications, leadership roles, and regulatory experience.

Terms of Appointment & Emoluments

  • Remuneration: As per Rule-4 of the Competition Commission (Salary, Terms and Conditions of Chairman and Members) Rules, 2009. The package will be median of MP-I scale with entitlement to annual increments in line with the MP-I scale.

  • Service Terms: Subject to revision by the Federal Government.

  • Current Employees: Candidates working in government, semi-government, autonomous bodies, international financial institutions, multilateral organizations, or private sector must resign or seek retirement before joining the CCP.

Tenure

  • Initial Term: 3 years.

  • Mandatory Retirement: Upon reaching 65 years of age or expiry of the term, whichever occurs first.
