PAKISTAN COAST GUARDS – VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

PAKISTAN COAST GUARDS
Kayani Shaheed Road, Saddar, Karachi

Appointment of Civilian Medical Officer on Contract Basis

Applications are invited for the post of Civilian Medical Officer on contract basis. Initial contract will be for two years, which will be renewed subsequently in interest and service.

1. QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE / AGE

a. Civilian Medical Officer (Male) 02 (BPS-17) 1. MBBS/FCPS will be preferred
2. 01 year house job preferably six months in Medicine/Surgery
3. Additional experience will be preferred		 1. Civilian: 25 to 35 years
2. Retired Army Officer: Up to 45 years

Note: A general relaxation in upper limit of age up to 5 years is allowed on case to case basis.

2. NATIONALITY

Pakistani citizen or Azad Jammu Kashmir.

3. INELIGIBILITY

Following are ineligible to apply:

  • a. Discharged/released from any Government service on disciplinary grounds.

  • b. Convicted by Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude.

4. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

  • a. Medical Officer can be appointed anywhere in Balochistan/Sindh Province, within Pakistan Coast Guards area of responsibility.

  • b. Pension and gratuity is not admissible.

  • c. Efficiency and Discipline Rules as enshrined in Esta Code 1973 would be applicable.

  • d. One month advance notice would be required after appointment for termination of contract by either side or payment of basic pay, thereof.

  • e. No postgraduate training courses will be allowed during contract period.

  • f. Official Secret Act, 1923 would be applicable.

5. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application form available on Pakistan Coast Guards website (www.pakistancoastguards.gov.pk) or can be collected from under mentioned address on any working day and submitted to following address within 15 days after publishing of advertisement date.

6. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

2x copies of following documents duly attested are required:

  • a. Computerized National Identity Card

  • b. Domicile

  • c. Education Certificate / Degree (Matric/FSc/MBBS/MPH etc.)

  • d. Marks sheet of MBBS (Final professional)

  • e. House Job Certificates

  • f. Experience Certificate

  • g. Character Certificate

  • h. PMDC Registration Certificate

  • i. 2x Photographs (passport size)

7. SELECTION PROCEDURE

  • a. Call up notices will be issued after scrutiny to eligible applicants for written test.

  • b. Only short listed candidates will be called for Interview.

  • c. No TA/DA for Written Test/Interview is admissible to candidates.

  • d. Employment will be governed by Pakistan Coast Guards Employment Rules. Same could be obtained from Headquarters Pakistan Coast Guards on demand before submitting the application.

  • e. Pay and allowances will be admissible as per BPS-17.
