Advertisement No. 01/2026 – Job Opportunity

PCSIR invites applications from Pakistani Nationals for the following position. Candidates must apply using the prescribed application form, which can be downloaded from the PCSIR official website: www.pcsir.gov.pk.

Available Position

1. Legal Advisor

  • Number of Posts: 01

  • Minimum Qualification: LL.B. degree

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 20 years post-qualification experience in civil, criminal, and intellectual property matters at District Courts and High Court levels

    • Demonstrated experience as a legal adviser in a public sector organization

  • Registration: Valid enrollment/membership with a High Court Bar Association

  • Minimum Age: 55 years

Terms & Conditions

  1. Equal Opportunity: PCSIR encourages applications from female candidates.

  2. Contract Basis: Appointment will be purely on contract, initially for 12 months, extendable for further one-year terms subject to satisfactory performance.

  3. Remuneration: Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience. Candidates with higher qualifications and excellent academic records will be preferred.

  4. Government Employees: Applicants already in government service must apply through proper channel.

  5. Flexibility: PCSIR reserves the right to increase or decrease posts, and to postpone or cancel recruitment at any stage without reason.

  6. Merit-Based Selection: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.

  7. No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for tests/interviews.

  8. Recruitment Rules: PCSIR recruitment rules and regulations shall apply.

  9. Place of Posting: Initial posting will be Islamabad, but the candidate may be assigned to any PCSIR laboratory across Pakistan as required.
