Job Opportunity: Legal Advisor

Directorate General of Petroleum Concessions (URAAN PAKISTAN)

The Ministry of Energy is inviting applications from qualified Pakistani professionals for the contract-based position of Legal Advisor within the Directorate General (LGs).

### Core Position Details

  • Post Name: Legal Advisor (01 Position)

  • Remuneration: Maximum Rs. 0.5 Million (Monthly Lump Sum, Negotiable)

  • Maximum Age: 55 Years

  • Contract Duration: Initial period of two (02) years, extendable based on performance and requirement.

### Eligibility Criteria

1. Qualification

  • Required: Masters or equivalent in Law from an HEC-recognized institution.

  • Preferred: Foreign qualifications specifically in Petroleum Laws, Policy, and Contracts.

2. Experience & Skills

  • Minimum Experience: 07 years (In-house, private practice, law firm, or government/corporate bodies).

  • Specialization: Advising on international energy transactions, specifically LNG/LPG business and supply chains.

  • Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Pakistan's Petroleum Sector legal framework, rules, policies, and recent amendments.

  • Litigation/Arbitration: Experience in local and international arbitration (Petroleum sector) is a major plus.

  • Licensing: Must hold a valid license to plead cases in the High Courts of Pakistan.
