Government of Sindh – Finance Department

Vacancy Announcement

The Finance Department of the Government of Sindh invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates on a purely contract basis, under a special package, for the following positions. Applicants must hold a Sindh domicile and meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below.

Position Details

  • Job Role & Responsibilities:

    • Prepare financial reports in accordance with International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

    • Compile financial and statistical reports and interpret them for stakeholders.

    • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of best practices and procedures in finance.

    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, accounting software, and related applications.

    • Prepare reporting frameworks compliant with SECP regulations.

    • At least 15 years of experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm.

    • Experience in SECP and other regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and audit processes.

    • Expertise in financial statement preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management.

    • Practical experience in ensuring accurate and timely financial reconciliation.

  • Education & Qualification:
    Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications:

    • ACMA/ACCA

    • Master’s in Accounting or Finance from a HEC-recognized university

    • Candidates with experience in financial, accounting, or insurance sectors will be preferred.

  • Experience Requirement:

    • Relevant experience in Chartered Accountancy firms and financial management

    • Prior work in insurance companies, banking, or corporate finance is desirable.

  • Age Limit:

    • Candidates must not be older than 45 years on the date of application submission.

General Instructions

  1. Contract Tenure: Appointment will be on a contract basis for an initial period of two (2) years, extendable for another two (2) years based on satisfactory performance evaluation by competent authorities.

  2. Domicile Requirement: Applicants must hold a Sindh domicile (PRC – Form D).

  3. Salary Package: Selected candidates will be offered a competitive, market-based salary package.

  4. Government Employees: Applicants currently employed in the public sector must submit their application through proper channel along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current department.

  5. Shortlisting & Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a test/interview.

  6. Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be provided.

  7. Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted within 15 days of the advertisement publication.

  8. Required Documents: Candidates should submit the following along with their application:

    • Updated resume

    • Passport-size photograph

    • Copies of all degrees and certificates

    • Experience certificates

    • Matriculation certificate (as proof of date of birth)

    • CNIC (attested)

    • Complete residential address and valid contact number
