?? SITUATION VACANT – INTERNAL AUDITOR (INDIVIDUAL)

Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), the premier national institution for the promotion and development of sports in Pakistan, is seeking applications from qualified, experienced, and dedicated professionals for the full-time contractual position of:

?? Position

Internal Auditor (Individual Consultant)

Employment Type: Full-time (Contractual)

Reporting To: Audit Committee

Location: Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad

?? Key Responsibilities

The selected Internal Auditor will work independently under the supervision of the Audit Committee and will be responsible for:

Conducting risk-based internal audits of financial and operational systems

Evaluating compliance with laws, rules, policies, and PPRA regulations

Assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, governance, and risk management

Reviewing and auditing procurement, payroll, and contract processes

Identifying operational weaknesses and recommending improvements

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations

Preparing and submitting detailed audit reports to the Audit Committee

Coordinating with external auditors and responding to audit observations

Contributing to the development of SOPs, internal controls, and policy frameworks

Performing other duties as assigned by the Audit Committee or PSB Board

? Eligibility Criteria

?? Educational Qualification

Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an HEC-recognized university

LLB qualification will be considered an added advantage

?? Professional Certification

One of the following is required:

Membership in ICAP, ICMAP, ACCA, or PIPFA
OR

Certification from Auditor General of Pakistan in public finance/audit

?? Experience

Minimum 15 years (with Master’s degree)

Minimum 12 years (with Professional Certification)

Experience must include:

Public sector auditing

Financial compliance

Internal control evaluation

Preference will be given to candidates with:

Supervisory audit experience in government bodies

Experience in auditing organizations such as AGP, FBR, AGPR, PRAL, or donor-funded projects

?? Technical Knowledge

Public Sector Accounting & Audit Standards

Government Financial Rules and Regulations

Financial frameworks of autonomous/semi-autonomous bodies

PPRA Rules and procurement procedures

?? Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and report-writing skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to interact with high-level oversight institutions

?? Integrity Requirements

No dismissal from public service

No involvement in financial irregularities or disciplinary actions

?? Salary Package

Market-based, competitive, and negotiable based on qualifications and experience
