Our client, a leading and well-established Oil & Gas Exploration and Production (E&P) company in Pakistan, is seeking to strengthen its senior leadership team. These key roles report directly to the Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director and will play a critical role in driving the company’s long-term growth, operational excellence, and value creation.
The Head of Exploration will be responsible for leading the company’s exploration strategy, prospect generation, and portfolio maturation across both operated and non-operated E&P assets. This position is vital for reserves replacement and sustainable production growth, particularly within assets characterized by complex geological and geophysical settings. Strong subsurface integration and experience-based exploration judgment are essential for success in this role.
Develop and lead exploration strategy and portfolio planning
Plan, manage, and oversee 2D and 3D seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation
Generate, mature, rank, and progress exploration prospects
Conduct geological, geophysical, and seismic interpretation
Perform resource estimation, volumetric analysis, and risk assessments
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary exploration teams
Coordinate technical engagement with joint venture partners and regulatory authorities
Present exploration results, recommendations, and investment proposals to senior management and the Board
Degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related discipline
Minimum 20 years of experience within an operating E&P company
Demonstrated success in exploration prospect generation and maturation
Experience with carbonate reservoirs preferred
Basin experience in Pakistan / South Asia is an advantage
The Head of Operations will have full accountability for upstream E&P operations, including production, reservoir, and process functions. The role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective asset performance while driving continuous operational improvement.
Provide overall leadership of production, reservoir, and process operations
Lead Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance and operational risk management
Optimize production and enhance field performance
Oversee well completions, interventions, and workovers
Manage development planning and execution activities
Control budgets, manage costs, and monitor operational performance
Interface with joint venture partners and regulatory bodies
Drive operational excellence, capability development, and performance improvement initiatives
Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 20 years of experience within an operating E&P company
Strong background in onshore field operations
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary asset teams
Familiarity with carbonate reservoirs and mature fields preferred
The Head of Drilling will lead all drilling and well construction activities for exploration, appraisal, and development wells across the company’s E&P asset portfolio.
Plan and execute drilling programs in line with business objectives
Lead well design and drilling execution for onshore operations
Manage rig contracts, drilling services, and third-party vendors
Ensure strong HSE leadership across all drilling activities
Control drilling costs and manage Authorization for Expenditure (AFE)
Identify and mitigate drilling risks and reduce non-productive time (NPT)
Implement continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned
Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 20 years of drilling experience within an operating E&P company
Strong background in onshore drilling operations
HPHT drilling experience is desirable
Exposure to carbonate formations is advantageous
Proven experience managing land rigs and integrated drilling teams
