JOB OPPORTUNITY: HEAD OF COMMUNITY DEPARTMENT

Location: LRBT Tertiary Teaching Eye Hospital, Korangi 21½, Karachi

LRBT (Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust) is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Head of Community Ophthalmology Department at its Korangi Hospital, Karachi.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Lead the Community Ophthalmology Department ensuring high standards of patient care, standards compliance, and budget control.

Education & Mentorship:

Oversee educational programs and mentor faculty/trainees at the LRBT School.

Community Outreach:

Manage outreach programs, eye camps, awareness drives, and evaluation of the PEC network.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

MBBS from a reputable university.

Preferred Qualifications:

M.Sc. in Community Ophthalmology (highly preferred).

FCPS/FRCS/MCPS/DOMS in Ophthalmology (added advantage).

Licensing:

Valid PMDC License.

Experience:

Experienced ophthalmologist with expertise in clinical, teaching, leadership, and outreach.

Strong skills in monitoring and evaluation, preferably of primary medical facilities.

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
