CAREER OPPORTUNITIES – PUBLIC SECTOR ORGANIZATION (ISLAMABAD)

A Public Sector Organization requires services from Pakistani nationals for multiple positions in Islamabad. Applications are invited in the following disciplines:

1. General Manager (Water Resource Management)

Criteria Requirement
Pay Package 99,760 – 4,530 – 190,360 PKR
Qualification M.Sc/MS in Water Resources Management with a major in Hydrological & Flood Modeling (abroad preferred). Ph.D candidates will be preferred.
Post-Qualification Experience a) 13 years of practical experience in space-based applications (hydrological modeling, glacier mass-balance studies, glacial lake inventory development, GLOF modeling, watershed management)
b) 8 years (for M.Sc holders)

2. General Manager (Climate)

Criteria Requirement
Pay Package 99,760 – 4,530 – 190,360 PKR
Qualification M.Sc/MS in Climate Sciences/Environmental Sciences/Engineering (Ph.D preferred, abroad preferred)
Post-Qualification Experience a) 13 years in space-based applications (Aerosol/Air quality assessment, GHGs inventory, GHGs offset measures, sources apportionment, dispersion modeling)
b) 8 years (for M.Sc holders)

3. Manager (Software)

Criteria Requirement

Qualification BE/B.Sc (Eng) in Computer/IT/Electrical Engineering (1st Division)

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Policy Planning & Space-Based Perspective

    • Hydrological modeling, GLOF & watershed management, river ecosystem monitoring

    • Forest carbon & species mapping, aerosol monitoring, GHG inventory & dispersion modeling

    • Geo-spatial analysis, seismic hazard assessment, Python scripting, inSAR mapping

    • Climate modeling using GCM/RCM, AI/ML-based predictive analytics

    • Cybersecurity and network security for Geo-AI digital platforms

Eligibility Notes

  1. Maximum 2nd Division allowed in entire educational career; final degree must have = 3.0 CGPA. No 3rd Division permitted.

  2. Age Limit: Minimum 25 years, maximum 30 years (relaxation possible for specialized qualifications/experience).

  3. Vacancies are temporary, may continue for an indefinite period. Appointment may be on CPF or PF basis.

  4. Compliance with selection criteria does not guarantee shortlisting; only the most suitable candidates will be selected.

  5. Candidates in government service must apply through proper channel with NOC at interview.
