The Project Implementation Unit (BID-PIU) invites applications from eligible and qualified candidates for the following positions.

1. Environmental Safeguards Specialist

  • No. of Posts: 01

  • Qualification:

    • Master’s degree in:

      • Environmental Sciences

      • Environmental Management

      • Natural Resource Management

      • Environmental Engineering

      • Or any relevant field

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience

    • Experience in public/private organizations (development sector preferred)

  • Skills & Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of national & international environmental regulations

    • Experience with environmental & social impact assessments

    • Understanding of Balochistan’s geographic and socio-economic conditions

    • Familiarity with donor-funded environmental policies (preferred)

    • Local language proficiency (advantage)

2. Social Safeguards Specialist

  • No. of Posts: 01

  • Qualification:

    • Master’s degree in:

      • Sociology

      • Rural Social Development

      • Community Development

      • Social Sciences

      • Or any relevant field

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience

  • Skills & Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of social safeguard frameworks

      • Involuntary resettlement

      • Indigenous peoples’ rights

      • Social inclusion

    • Experience in similar geographic conditions

    • Knowledge of local languages (preferred)

    • Familiarity with donor-funded social policies (advantage)

3. Gender Specialist

  • Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s/Master’s (minimum 16 years education) in:

      • Gender Studies

      • Sociology

      • Social Sciences

      • Public Policy

      • Or related discipline

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 7 years of professional experience

  • Skills & Knowledge:

    • Experience in gender mainstreaming & women empowerment

    • Ability to conduct gender analysis

    • Development of gender-sensitive interventions

    • Experience in community-driven projects (preferred)

    • Knowledge of local languages (advantage)
