Universities & Boards Department Government of Sindh
The Government of Sindh is looking for high caliber energetic, proactive, result-oriented professionals to work as DIRECTOR FINANCE in 23 Public Sector Universities in Sindh, to be a part of its senior management team, who can take the challenging assignments effectively. The purpose of this position is to assist in fiscal leadership with budget development and management, operation co-ordination, and decision-making of budgetary and financial services. Supervises the accounting and related financial services including financial report generation and analysis.
Contract Period
Three (03) years
Remuneration
Age on the closing date
55 years (maximum)
Competitive salary package commensurate with the qualification / experience as determine by the Competent Authority.
Minimum Qualification
CA/ACCA/ACMA OR Masters Finance/Accounting/Commerce
Experience
Having at least ten (10) years experience in handling financial matters in repute commercial organization OR in public sector universities. The applicant shall be member of recognized professional bodies i.e ICMA, ICAAP fellow PIPFA etc.
The Director Finance shall lead the financial team of the University and shall be responsible for:
Budget development and management:
Keeping proper financial records and accounts;
Maintaining an effective system of internal financial control;
Taking an effective part in ERP implementation;
Job Description / Responsibilities of Director Finance
Keeping close liaison with various stakeholders including audits, and ministries / departments;
Representing University at various forums on financial matters;
Dealing with HEC on financial matters;
Ensuring that appropriate advice is given to the Syndicate/BoG of the University on all financial matters;
The monitor the financial matters of all the ADP/PSDP schmes of the University.
