Young Development Fellows (YDFs)

The Planning Commission, Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan, invites applications for its flagship fellowship programme, Young Development Fellows (YDFs), under the URAAN Pakistan Programme.

About the Fellowship

The Young Development Fellows (YDF) Programme is a highly competitive, one-year fellowship designed to attract Pakistan’s top young talent seeking hands-on experience at the heart of national policy-making.

Selected fellows will work closely with senior policymakers and professionals, gaining structured exposure to:

  • Development planning

  • Public policy formulation

  • Innovation and reform initiatives

  • Economic transformation strategies

The programme aims to nurture a new generation of impact-driven leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to Pakistan’s national development agenda and URAAN Pakistan’s vision for sustainable growth.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Age: Between 21 to 30 years

  • Academic Performance: Minimum CGPA 3.2

  • Qualification:

    • Master’s degree or

    • 16 years of professional education

    • From a reputed local or foreign university in a relevant discipline
