Primehr, a leading human resource services provider, is seeking dynamic and result-oriented professionals for one of its prestigious clients. The position is for a Deputy General Manager (Investment) to lead and manage the organization's investment portfolio.
Job Purpose:
The Deputy General Manager (Investment) will be responsible for developing and implementing effective investment strategies, overseeing research functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning investment activities with the organization’s strategic goals. This role is integral in optimizing portfolio performance and supporting long-term financial growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
Oversee portfolio management with a primary focus on optimizing investment strategies.
Research Function:
Manage the research function to support investment decisions and enhance portfolio performance.
Policy Development:
Develop and implement investment policies in alignment with the organization’s goals.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Collaboration with Senior Management:
Collaborate with other senior management to align investment strategies with organizational objectives.
Education:
Minimum Qualification:
A 4-year Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a reputable university recognized by HEC.
Additional Qualification:
Membership of a recognized professional body in Accounting (e.g., ICAP/ICMAP/ACCA) will be considered an advantage.
Preferred Certification:
CFA certification is a plus.
Experience:
Overall Experience:
12 years of experience in the relevant field.
Post-Qualification Experience:
At least 5+ years of post-qualification experience in research, investment management, advisory, corporate finance, investment banking, or treasury roles across financial institutions such as banks, DFIs, AMCs, brokerage firms, insurance companies, rating agencies, or investment funds.
Age:
Preferably not more than 45 years of age.
