SITUATION VACANT

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the following posts under the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). The posts are available on both regular and contract basis. Applications should be submitted via the Online Recruitment System.

POSITIONS AND DETAILS

1. Deputy Director (G&SI) (BS-18)

  • Qualification:

    • Master’s Degree (Equivalent to 16 years of education).

    • Degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Public Administration, or Law is advantageous.

    • Specialization in Gender & Women Studies will be preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 5 years experience as a researcher.

    • Knowledge of research databases and research methods.

    • Experience in gender advocacy, providing technical support to government bodies on gender issues.

    • In-depth knowledge of the national legal framework on gender and non-discrimination.

    • Experience in electoral management (particularly working in elections or with electoral bodies) is preferable.

  • Number of Posts:
    1 (on a contract basis for 1 year)

  • Domicile:
    Liable to serve anywhere in Pakistan.

  • Age Limit:
    35 years

  • Place of Posting:
    Anywhere in Pakistan

  • Additional Skills:

    • Knowledge of the electoral cycle, electoral operations, and planning will be considered an advantage.

    • Computer literacy and the ability to use information technology (including the internet and social media) are essential.

2. Assistant Director (G&SI) (BS-17)

  • Qualification:

    • Master’s Degree (Equivalent to 16 years of education).

    • Degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Public Administration, or Law is advantageous.

    • Specialization in Gender & Women Studies will be preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 2 years of experience in a responsible position in a reputed public or private sector organization.

  • Number of Posts:
    1 (on regular basis)

  • Domicile:
    Punjab

  • Age Limit:
    30 years

  • Place of Posting:
    Liable to serve anywhere in Pakistan

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Age Relaxation:

    • Relaxation in the age limit will be provided as per the Initial Appointment to Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1993.

  2. Application Process:

    • Candidates must apply through the ECP's Online Recruitment System by visiting www.ecp.gov.pk or jobs.ecp.gov.pk.

    • The application deadline is 20 days from the publication of the advertisement in newspapers.

  3. Late Applications:

    • Applications received after the cut-off date will not be entertained.

  4. Government Employees:

    • Applicants working in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel.

  5. Shortlisting:

    • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview.
