ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

PESCO is a public sector utility company operating under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), Government of Pakistan. The company provides electricity to valued customers within its operational jurisdiction. PESCO is inviting applications from suitable candidates to fill the following position for its Market Implementation & Regulatory Affairs Department (MIRAD).

• Nature of Appointment: Purely on contract basis

• Pay Basis: Lump sum pay basis

• Extendable: Subject to satisfactory performance

POSITION DETAILS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering / Law / Management Sciences from an HEC-recognized University.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 05 years of total experience

• Including minimum 03 years of experience in the Power Sector

• Experience in the relevant field will be given preference

• Desirable Skills/Knowledge:

  • Understanding of bilateral contracts and bidding process

  • Knowledge of competitive electricity markets (added advantage)

Age Limit

• Up to 40 years

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Basis of Appointment: Appointments shall be made purely on a contractual basis under the applicable PESCO Contractual Employees Policy, organizational requirements, and approval of the Competent Authority.

2. Application Requirements: Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form available on the Company's website: https://www.pesco.com.pk/, accompanied by:

   • Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) in chronological order

   • Attested copies of educational testimonials

   • Professional certifications

   • Experience certificates

   • CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)

   • Recent passport-size photographs

   • Other relevant documents

3. Submission Deadline: Within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this advertisement.

4. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria shall be called for interview.

5. Incomplete Applications: Incomplete applications, applications received after the due date, or those not accompanied by the requisite documents shall not be entertained.

6. Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan.

7. Government Employees: Candidates serving in Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous, or Public Sector Organizations shall apply through the proper channel.

8. Document Verification: Candidates shall be required to produce original educational, professional, and experience documents, along with a valid CNIC, at the time of interview or whenever required during the recruitment process.

9. TA/DA: No TA/DA shall be admissible at any stage of the recruitment process.

10. Right to Modify/Cancel: PESCO reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, modify, or withhold the recruitment process, either partially or wholly, at any stage, without assigning any reason.

11. False Information: If any information or document submitted by a candidate is found to be false, fabricated, forged, or misleading at any stage of the recruitment process or after appointment, PESCO reserves the right to cancel the candidature or terminate the appointment, without prejudice to any other legal or disciplinary action available under the applicable laws. Any financial loss caused to PESCO shall also be recoverable from the candidate in accordance with law.
