Karachi Metropolitan University (KMU), a public-sector university established under Sindh Assembly Act No. LIV of 2023, is located at ST-2, Block-M, North Nazimabad, Central District, Karachi. Karachi Metropolitan University invites applications from qualified, competent, and motivated individuals for the following positions:

1. Controller of Examinations

Nature of Appointment: Contractual / Regular
Maximum Age: 55 Years

Scope of Work

The Controller of Examinations (CoE) shall be responsible for overseeing all examination-related activities of the university. This includes the administration of examinations, processing of results, verification of academic records, and issuance of transcripts, degrees, and certificates.

The CoE will establish and maintain a technology-driven, efficient, transparent, and reliable examination system that ensures fairness, accuracy, and compliance with institutional policies. Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling examinations, maintaining student academic records, coordinating with faculties and internal/external authorities, and preventing unfair practices.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and a firm commitment to upholding academic integrity.

Eligibility Criteria

• 18 years of education (Master’s degree) from an HEC-recognized institution

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in examination systems of universities

• Sound knowledge of rules, regulations, and legal frameworks governing both annual and semester examination systems

2. Manager Procurement

Nature of Appointment: Contractual
Maximum Age: 55 Years

Scope of Work

The Manager Procurement shall be responsible for managing and overseeing all procurement activities of the university in compliance with SPPRA rules and institutional policies. Responsibilities include preparation of tenders, bidding documents, evaluations, purchase orders, and ensuring transparent, competitive, and cost-effective procurement of goods, works, and services.

The role also includes maintaining vendor databases, procurement records, contracts, and documentation, as well as coordination with finance, audit, and relevant departments to ensure smooth procurement operations. The position requires strong negotiation skills, financial and technical acumen, risk management capability, and adherence to ethical standards.

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management

• At least three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial role in a university, government, semi-autonomous, or autonomous organization

• Demonstrated working knowledge of SPPRA rules

• Strong proficiency in MS Office
