PAKISTAN SOFTWARE EXPORT BOARD (PSEB)

Career Opportunities

The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is the apex government agency under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, mandated to promote and develop the IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) sector of Pakistan. PSEB focuses on enhancing IT exports, developing skilled human capital, and enabling a globally competitive tech industry.

PSEB invites applications from dynamic and experienced professionals for the following contract-based positions:

????? Position 1: Chief Skills Development Officer (CSDO)

Age Limit:

Maximum: 55 Years

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university in one of the following or related disciplines:

Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Business

Education Leadership

Management Sciences

Public Policy

Candidates from other academic backgrounds with relevant experience in skills development, workforce strategy, or digital transformation are also encouraged to apply.

Degrees must be recognized by HEC (local or international institutions).

Professional Experience:

Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in:

IT workforce development

Higher education or training programs

Strategic planning and government liaison

Proven ability in:

Managing large teams

Leading multi-stakeholder, complex projects

Driving national-level policy initiatives

At least 5 years of senior leadership in large-scale or national training initiatives involving stakeholder engagement.

????? Position 2: Chief Industry Development Officer (CIDO)

Age Limit:

Maximum: 55 Years

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized local or international university in:

Engineering

Computer Science

Management

Business

Economics

Other relevant disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:

Higher education in Business Administration, Public Policy, or Finance

Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP)

Professional Experience:

Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in areas such as:

IT and business enablement

Industry development and facilitation

Infrastructure or ecosystem development

Public-private partnerships

At least 5 years of experience in:

Project or program management

Stakeholder coordination and regulatory facilitation

Minimum 3 years in a senior leadership or decision-making role, ideally in:

Tech-focused

Export-oriented

Public-sector organizations

Experience in liaison with:

Regulatory bodies

Industry chambers

Provincial entities

Business facilitation units (highly desirable)
