Re-Advertisement for Recruitment of Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Hyderabad Water & Sewerage Corporation (HW&SC), Hyderabad, Sindh, is a prominent public service organization providing essential services to the citizens under the jurisdiction of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. HW&SC is responsible for the provision of clean drinking water and efficient sewerage services.

The Corporation is committed to improving operational efficiency, enhancing service quality, achieving long-term financial sustainability, and implementing reforms effectively. To strengthen its leadership team, HW&SC is seeking dynamic, skilled, and professional individuals for the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The ideal candidate will be highly capable, motivated to contribute to HW&SC’s mission of service excellence, sustainable development, and operational innovation. Proven leadership experience in public sector institutions is required. Management experience in operational, financial, or strategic roles will be considered an additional advantage.

Position Details

Position: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Contract Duration: 4 years (extendable with the approval of HW&SC Board of Directors)
Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The COO will be responsible for overseeing operational processes and infrastructure services at HW&SC.

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the citizens.

  • Drive process optimization, operational improvements, and sustainable development initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and enhance the performance of large-scale projects.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or BS in a related field from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university in Pakistan or a reputable international university.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5–10 years in senior management positions.

  • For government employees, a minimum of 5 years in BPS-18 or higher is required.

  • Experience in project management, infrastructure, or operational leadership is mandatory.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum 65 years (preferred).
