Hyderabad Water & Sewerage Corporation (HW&SC) is a key utility service provider in Hyderabad, Sindh, responsible for the provision of safe drinking water and effective sewerage services within the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

HW&SC is implementing an ambitious turnaround plan aimed at enhancing operational performance, improving service delivery, and achieving long-term financial sustainability. To strengthen its leadership team, HW&SC is seeking qualified, dedicated, and dynamic professionals to fill the following senior management role on a contract basis:

?? Position Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

?? Location: Hyderabad, Sindh

?? Contract Duration: 04 Years (Extendable based on performance and Board approval)

?? Employment Type: Full-time, Contractual

?? Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer / Board of Directors

?? Job Profile

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for leading and managing the technical operations and infrastructure services of the Corporation. This role includes:

Overseeing core operational processes and performance

Driving sustainable growth, service excellence, and business process optimization

Managing large-scale infrastructure and utility projects

Ensuring high-quality service delivery and system efficiency

Addressing operational challenges through innovative and practical solutions

The COO must be a strategic thinker and results-oriented leader, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver measurable improvements in service delivery and operational efficiency.

?? Qualification Criteria

Candidates must possess:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Business Administration (BBA)

Degree must be from an HEC-recognized national university or a reputable international university

?? Experience Requirements

Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management position

For Public Sector Candidates:

At least 6 years of service in BPS-18 or above

At least 6 years in senior-level project roles such as Resident Engineer, Project Engineer, or equivalent

?? Age Limit

Maximum Age: 65 years at the time of application

?? Tenure & Compensation

Contract Term: 04 years (initial), extendable on mutually agreed terms and subject to the approval of the Board of Directors

Compensation: Competitive market-based salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience
