Position Details

Chief Manager – Gas Purchase

Job Code: 8523-01
Department: Finance

Minimum Qualification & Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • CA / ACMA with a minimum of 6 years of relevant post-membership experience

OR

  • MBA (Finance) from an HEC-recognized university with at least 8 years of relevant experience

Additional Requirement:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Functional Team Lead is mandatory.

Job Summary / Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and supervising all financial matters related to the gas purchase process.

  • Ensuring timely processing of monthly gas payments.

  • Reviewing payment vouchers prior to submission to senior management.

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws related to gas purchase matters.

  • Liaising with the Ministry and relevant government departments on gas purchase-related issues.

  • Participating in the review of Gas Sales & Purchase Agreements (GSPA) with various Exploration and Production (E&P) companies.

  • Developing and maintaining the weighted average cost of gas and preparing gas statements of SSGCL.
