CAREER OPPORTUNITY – CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO)

The CIO will lead the Bank's technology and digital strategies, ensuring secure, stable, and compliant IT operations while driving innovation aligned with business growth.

Position:

Chief Information Officer (EVP/SEVP) – Contractual

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in IT/technology leadership roles.

  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale technology programs.

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

Educational Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized Institute/University (National or International).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT & Digital strategies in line with the Bank’s overall business strategy.

  • Provide insights into the digital ecosystem, ensuring faster time-to-market, high availability of core banking systems, and innovative business solutions.

  • Ensure implementation of SBP regulatory compliance and enterprise technology governance & risk management frameworks.

  • Formulate IT and digital banking policies supporting financial planning, cost optimization, and vendor performance.

  • Oversee IT services delivery, operations management, and seamless implementation of IT systems.

  • Build and lead a high-performing IT & Digital organization.

  • Lead the transformation of IT infrastructure, digital operations, and service delivery model.

  • Develop and implement a Disaster Recovery Plan aligned with the Bank’s BCP.

  • Review and manage service level agreements with IT service providers.

  • Ensure cybersecurity, information security, communication links, and equipment safety.

  • Manage Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities.

  • Perform any other assignments as directed by management.

Eligibility & Terms:

  1. Applicants dismissed, discharged, retired on disciplinary grounds, or convicted by any court of law are not eligible.

  2. The position is contractual for 5 years, extendable based on performance.

  3. Age limit: up to 60 years on the closing date.
