Paraplegic Centre Peshawar – Career Opportunity

Paraplegic Centre Peshawar (PCP) invites applications from dedicated and dynamic professionals having the requisite qualification and experience to fill the temporary, contract-based vacancy of Chief Executive Officer in the Centre.

VACANCY: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Important Notes:

(i) The position is open to male and female candidates.
(ii) Maximum age limit: 60 years as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Qualification:

(i) Postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy/Diploma of Physical Therapy/Prosthetics/Orthotics or equivalent qualification, or other relevant qualifications from an HEC-recognized university; OR
(ii) FCPS/FRCS/MD in Orthopedics and Spine Surgery/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or equivalent PM&DC Level III recognized medical qualification.

Experience:

(i) In case of Qualification (i): At least 12 years of experience relevant to the post of BPS-19 and above (including at least 08 years as a senior Physical Rehabilitation professional), preferably as Senior Organizational Head/Administrator; OR
(ii) In case of Qualification (ii): At least 12 years of experience as Associate Professor by PM&DC, including a leadership/senior management position in a well-reputed comprehensive physical rehabilitation organization as well as spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities, preferably in a public sector organization.

Research Publications:

A total of at least 12 research publications pertaining to expertise in the field/specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation, published in HEC-recognized journals, on which at least 08 publications must be as the principal author.

TENURE OF THE APPOINTMENT

The appointment will be on a contract basis for a term of four years or until attaining the age of 60 years, whichever is earlier. The appointment shall be governed by the Paraplegic Centre at Hayatabad, Peshawar (Appointment of the Chief Executive Officer) (Terms and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2026.

Remuneration:

The position carries a pay package commensurate with experience and determined by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

INSTRUCTIONS

(i) Any candidate may be disqualified and/or excluded from the interview if he/she was:
(a) Convicted by a court of law
(b) Dismissed from public service
(c) Knowingly furnished any false information
(d) Submitted forged documents/tempered documents

(ii) The applications shall be scrutinized by the HR Committee and shortlisted candidates shall be recommended by the Board of Governors. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Test/Interview on the basis of supported documents.

(iii) The appointment shall be made by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the recommendation of the Board.

(iv) No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in the Test/Interview.
