Vacancy Announcement: Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC)

A State-Owned Enterprise of the Federal Government of Pakistan

The PIDC is seeking a proactive, dynamic, and highly qualified professional to lead the organization as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position is based in Karachi and will be appointed in accordance with the Federal Government's guidelines for C-Level appointments in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).

Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Role Overview The CEO is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. The role is accountable to the Board of Directors (BOD) and the Government of Pakistan as prescribed under the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operation) Act, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Qualification

  • Minimum Requirement: A graduate degree (at least 16 years of education) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Engineering from a reputed HEC-recognized institution.

  • Alternative: Membership in a recognized body of professional accountants.

  • Note: Additional qualifications will be considered an advantage.

2. Experience

  • Total Experience: Minimum of 20 years in governance, business administration, finance, commerce, or marketing within well-known, commercially oriented organizations.

  • Leadership Level: Proven experience as a Chief Executive or at least a Departmental Head in a reputable organization is essential.

  • Preference: Prior experience in Public Sector organizations is highly desirable.

3. Age Limit

  • Candidates must be under 62 years of age by the closing date of the application.

Terms & Conditions

  • Tenure: The appointment is on a contract basis for a period of three (03) years.

  • Salary: Competitive remuneration within the Grade D-I salary band of PIDC, tailored to the candidate's experience and qualifications.

  • Fit & Proper Criteria: Candidates must meet the "Fit and Proper" standards defined in the SOE Act.

  • Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview process.
