CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITY - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

KPEZDMC, owned by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is mandated to develop and manage world-class economic zones, promoting rapid industrialization and job creation in the province. The company is seeking a transformational and passionate leader for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company towards growth. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors (BOD) and the KPEZDMC team to develop strategic visionary plans, execute fast-track projects, and build efficient, people-focused processes, all while enhancing quality and transparency.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading and managing KPEZDMC under the oversight and guidance of the Board of Directors (BOD), as per the Companies Act, 2017 and Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementation of strategies and policies approved by the BOD.

• Ensuring that company funds and resources are used economically, efficiently, and effectively, in compliance with statutory obligations.

• Safeguarding the interests of the Company, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Pakistan, ensuring smooth operations and sustainable growth.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Essential Qualifications:

1. Fit and Proper Criteria: Must meet the Fit and Proper Criteria for a CEO appointment in a public sector company as defined in the SECP Public Sector Companies (Appointment of Chief Executive) Guidelines, 2015. This includes competence, capability, personal integrity, and financial integrity.

2. Educational Background: A degree (16 years of education) in Administration, Business, Management, Engineering, or allied disciplines from a reputed and accredited institution.

3. Work Experience:

   • Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience.

   • At least 7 years must be in a senior managerial and strategic role.

4. Age Limit: The maximum age limit at the time of application is 57 years.

   • The appointment will be on a contract basis for 3 years, or until the appointee reaches the age of 60 years, whichever occurs earlier.
